Montgomery Update - August 19

Dear Friends, As you know, Bill has spent the summer trying to recover from his knee replacement surgery May 25th.  He is still pretty uncomfortable, especially if he is up on it long, but for several reasons, did not feel he could delay returning to Haiti any longer. Bill and Jesse left today for a two weeks trip to Haiti.  A friend, Cody Moore, went with them.  He will be there for a week.  Another friend, John Padron, will join them on Friday for 10 days. The simplest form of supporting Joplin Helps Haiti is by making a donation using this link. Joplin Helps Haiti is a not for profit organization who is working directly with faith based organizations in Haiti. You can learn more about these partnerships by seeing our about page.

Supplies

Joplin Helps Haiti will have entry and medical teams on the ground in Haiti beginning in February. These trips will primarily focus on meeting medical needs big and small. Obviously medical supplies will be in demand to help treat the wounded. There is a full list of medical needs that are being requested by the teams currently in Haiti on the needs page.

We are currently working on local drop off centers with Joplin organizations and business. We will post them as soon as they are verified.
